After a fantastic result on Monday, here are a couple of suggested players for today’s action:
Pablo Cuevas ($8,600 – plays Albert Ramos) – heavily weighted head-to-head in his favour, and looks strong in round 1. Ramos was poor against Mayer in Round 1, and looks vulnerable today.
Reilly Opelka ($8,400 – plays Yoshihito Nishioka) – Could be a one-sided and a friendly result for Opelka if his serve is on. Defending champion and suited by the conditions. Could overpower Nishioka here.
Jordan Thompson ($6,700 – plays John Isner) – We haven’t seen Isner since his retirement to Wawrinka in Melbourne. Isner does look to be regressing a touch of late, and has not started the year well. Beat Thompson here last year however put 45/49 first serves into play that day. Thompson has improved, and could take a scalp here to free up some salary elsewhere.
Kyle Edmund ($9,100 – plays Dom Koepfer) – Dominant in round 1 given his poor first serve percentage. Looks to be rounding into some solid form and looks worthy of inclusion into a team given this match-up. Koepfer hasn’t quite come to 2020 with his late 2019 form, and looks vulnerable here. Edmund looks to be a nice salary.
A trickier list today with less to choose from, however the above all appear solid value.
